So I decided to create something that has a dual purpose, a coffee table that I could use to store and display my growing collection. Now I could start telling you about how this is eco-freindly because it serves more than one purpose, keeps those magazines out of the waste stream, will be built with sustainable wood, low VOC glues and recyclable materials and all those things would be true. But honestly I need a place to put my stuff and still keep my place looking nice. So here is what I came up with.
I think I might call the line “Double Green” since we are using the scrap from already reclaimed wood. I’m researching eco-friendly finishes, we have a few samples worked up and I’m trying to pull together the legs. I’ll post about that later as it has become a quest that needs more than a sentence or two, but for now check out where it’s headed.
